Expenditure on goods, services and works is a significant part of any Academy's overall budget. The Trust encourages open and fair competition and welcome bids from new and established suppliers. All contracts are awarded on the basis of value for money and although the Trust cannot discriminate in favour of local companies, it is committed to encouraging local suppliers to compete for business.
The Trust can sometimes take advantage of contracts that have been let by other central government departments or Local Authorities. In particular, we use Frameworks award by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) and the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC).
Businesses and other organisations interested in supplying goods and/or services to the Trust can register on our e-tendering portal (https://in-tendhost.co.uk/greenwoodacademies) to receive email alerts for all relevant contract opportunities on the day they are advertised. Should your organisation be invited to take part in a competition for supply the whole process can be managed online using the portal.
The Trust’s Procurement Team welcomes emails to firstname.lastname@example.org rather than unsolicited sales telephone calls from potential suppliers. All emails to this mailbox are read and saved for future reference.
