Students and staff across Greenwood Academies Trust are celebrating today as Level 3 qualification results are announced. We are incredibly proud of our students and all they have achieved. Through dedication, hard work, and resilience, many have secured excellent grades and are now taking the next steps towards their chosen futures - whether in higher education, employment, or apprenticeships. Below, we share some of the remarkable individual successes from each of our secondary academies.

Kingswood Secondary Academy

  • Bethany Mead, who earned an A in geography and two Bs in biology and psychology. Bethany has secured her place at the University of Manchester to study ecology and environmental science.

  • Alexandra Schrik, who is celebrating three Distinction*s in art and design, media and information technology. Alexandra is taking a gap year before pursuing her next career steps in digital animation.

  • Tarik Mohammed-El-Sayed, who celebrates three grade As in biology, history and psychology and has secured his place to study law at the University of Nottingham.
  • Deividas Gedvilas, who achieved an A in psychology and two Bs in history and biology and has secured an offer to study law.
  • Nazar Takacs, who successfully achieved an A* in Russian, a Distinction* in business and two Distinctions in information technology and media. Nazar will now attend the University of Leicester to study human resources.
  • Ethan McInulty, received an A in  psychology, a Distinction* in media and a B in history. Ethan has secured his place at the University of Manchester to study philosophy.

Nottingham Academy

  • Halima Nasery, who successfully achieved three Bs in biology, chemistry and psychology and has secured her place to study pharmacy at the University of Nottingham
  • Mali Rai- Atkins, who earned two Bs in psychology and criminology and a Distinction in sport studies and has secured her place to study forensic psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University.

  • Nimra Aftab, who is celebrating a Distinction in health and social care, a Merit in children’s play learning and development and a B in criminology. Nimra has secured her place to study social work at the University of Nottingham.
  • Zainab Atai, who received two Bs in biology and chemistry and one C in mathematics and has secured her place to study pharmacy with integrated foundation training at the University of Nottingham.
  • Jude Du Toit, who achieved two Bs in mathematics and physics and one C in chemistry and has secured his place to study mechanical engineering at Loughborough University.

  • Alina Riley, who earned a Distinction in sport studies, Merit in health and social care and a C in criminology. Alina has secured basketball scholarship through the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics to study at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA.

Nottingham Girls' Academy

  • Ashmini Indiran, who earned an A* in psychology, an A in biology and an A in politics. They have secured a place to study law at the University of Bristol.

  • Shefa Maslati, who achieved all of her target grades in criminology, health and social care and IT, and will realise her dream of studying software engineering at Nottingham Trent University.

Skegness Academy

  • Chloe Anderson, who has successfully achieved a Distinction Distinction OCR Diploma in sport and physical activity, a Distinction in BTEC Extended Certificate in travel and tourism and a C in LIBF Level 3 Certificate in financial studies. Chloe is now moving into full-time employment.
  • Xanthe Bell, who celebrates a Distinction* in BTEC Extended Certificate in applied law, a D in A-Level sociology, a Distinction BTEC Extended Certificate in travel and tourism and C in LIBF Level 3 Certificate in financial studies. Xanthe is now undertaking a degree in law at the University of Lincoln.
  • Abbey Bone, who earned a Merit Merit in BTEC Diploma child's play, learning and development and a Distinction in OCR Extended Certificate health and social care. Abbey is now moving into full-time employment.
  • Maz Dingley, who has received a Distinction* Distinction in BTEC Diploma in art and design, a Merit in BTEC Extended Certificate in applied science and a B in LIBF Level 3 Certificate in financial studies. Maz is now undertaking a degree in games art and design at Norwich University of the Arts.
  • Kiera Rudman, who is celebrated after receiving a Merit Merit OCR Diploma in sport and physical activity, a Merit in OCR Extended Certificate health and social care and and a C in LIBF Level 3 Certificate in financial studies. Kiera is now embarking on full-time employment with Butlins.
  • Alfie Gwinnell, whose success includes a Merit Merit in BTEC Diploma in art and design, a Pass in OCR Extended Certificate in sport and physical activity and a B in LIBF Level 3 Certificate in financial studies. Alfie is now undertaking a degree in illustration at the University of Lincoln.
  • Hannah Trzos, who celebrates a Distinction Merit in BTEC Diploma in art and design, a C in A-Level Polish, a Distinction in BTEC Extended Certificate in applied law and a B in LIBF Level 3 Certificate in financial studies. Hannah is now undertaking a degree in interior architecture and design at the University of Lincoln.

  • Tamzin Hicks-Brown, who achieved a Distinction in BTEC Extended Certificate in applied science, a Merit in OCR Extended Certificate in health and social care and a C in A-Level sociology. Tamzin is now undertaking a degree in adult nursing at the University of Central Lancashire.

  • Poppy Snelson, who earned a Distinction Merit in BTEC Diploma child's play, learning and development and a Merit in OCR Extended Certificate health and social care. Poppy is now undertaking a degree in primary education with QTS at Bishop Grosseteste University.
  • Jaydon Williams, who received a Distinction* Distinction OCR Diploma in sport and physical activity, a Merit in BTEC Extended Certificate in performing arts and a Pass in BTEC Certificate in applied science. Jaydon is now undertaking a degree in paramedic science at the Coventry University.

Stanground Academy

  • Marco Simonov, who has successfully achieved a truly outstanding set of results with two A*s and an A in economics, mathematics and further mathematics. Marco plans to go on to study economics at the University of Warwick.

  • Richard Alabi, the Academy’s Head Student, earned an outstanding set of results with three As in biology, chemistry and mathematics and who plans to go to the University of Lincoln to study medicine.

  • Logan Short, who achieved outstanding grades including two Distinction*s and an A in business, IT and finance. Logan plans to study computing at Anglia Ruskin University.

The Brunts Academy

  • Kirils Garajevs, who successfully achieved two A*s and an A in maths, chemistry and physics and has secured his place to study mechanical engineering at the University of Manchester.

The Academy is also incredibly proud of the following students who have secured degree apprenticeships:

  • Max Wakelin, who will go on to undertake an auditing and finance apprenticeship with Forvis Mazars.
  • Aminata Boye and Alivia Peabody, who both plan to pursue a paralegal apprenticeship with Browne Jacobson.

Weston Favell Academy 

  • Grace Hales, who achieved four A* grades in psychology, mathematics, English language and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Grace is going to study psychology and linguistics at the University of Oxford.
