Among the many success stories being celebrated across our academies, we are delighted to highlight a number of outstanding individual achievements that reflect the talent, determination and ambition of our students.

Brunts Academy

The Academy is pleased to announce a year of positive results for all students.

Their determination and hard work have meant many have achieved strong results and will now progress onto their chosen next steps in higher education, jobs or apprenticeships.

There have also been some impressive individual performances, which include:

• Jack Cook, who celebrates 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics. Jack will be continuing at The Brunts Academy as he embarks on a degree apprenticeship as a maths teacher, putting his expertise to excellent use within the academy.
• Edward McDonald, who successfully achieved 3 A*s in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, and has secured a place to study Chemistry at the University of Sheffield.
• Mariam Mahmoud, who achieved passes in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology and has secured a place to study Pharmacy at Newcastle University.
• Abigail Holmes, who secured 3 Bs in History, Geography and Psychology and a place to study criminology with policing at the University of Chester.

Kingswood Secondary Academy

The Academy is pleased to announce a year of great results for all students. Their determination and hard work means many have achieved strong results and will now progress onto their chosen next steps in higher education, jobs or apprenticeships. There have also been some impressive individual performances, which include:

• James McSherry, who earned an A* in psychology and 2 distinctions* in business and media, and has secured his place to study business and management (with study abroad) at Durham University.

• Joseph Buckle, who successfully achieved an A* in sociology, a distinction* in media and an A in English literature and language. Joseph has secured a place to study writing and English literature at Anglia Ruskin University.

• Denis Mihut, who secured 2 distinctions* in business and information technology, an A in maths and an A* in extended qualification. Denis has secured a degree apprenticeship with Microsoft, training in customer solutions sales (AI-enabled).

• Jessica Routledge, who is celebrating 2 As in English and sociology and a B in maths and has secured her place to study law at Durham University.

• Joshua Wheatcroft, who received 2 As in chemistry and maths and a B physics. Joshua will be going on to study theoretical physics at King’s College London.

Nottingham Girls' Academy

Students and staff at Nottingham Girls’ Academy, located on Robins Wood Road, Nottingham are celebrating what executive principal David Tungate has called "another set of excellent A-level results".

Ithar Sherif, who successfully achieved an A* in maths, an A in biology, and an A in chemistry, will be studying neuroscience at UCL.

Meherunisa Muhammad, who celebrates a Distinction* in IT, a Distinction in applied human biology and Bs in Art and Italian, has been accepted at the University of Nottingham to study architecture.

Nottingham Academy

The academy added there had been impressive individual performances, including:

• Hayley Chang, who successfully achieved three As in biology, chemistry and mathematics. Following a gap year Hayley has future aspirations to study mathematics at university in 2027.
• Hana Hussain, who earned two As in biology and history and a distinction* in sport and physical activity. Hana has secured her place at Sheffield Hallam University to study physiotherapy.
• Radia Rediza, who is celebrating a distinction* in business, an A* in criminology and a B in psychology and has secured her place at the University of Nottingham to study psychology and neuroscience.
• Mia Gajaja, who has received two As in criminology and English literature and a B in psychology and has secured her place to study psychology at the University of Manchester.
• Mateya Georgieva, who successfully achieved an A in art and history and a B in sociology. Mateya has secured her place to study politics and philosophy at the University of Nottingham.
• Princess Kirkman, who achieved a distinction* in health and social care, a distinction in children’s play learning and development and a B in criminology. Princess has secured her place to study social work at Nottingham Trent University.

The academy explained it secured an impressive 94.3 per cent pass rate, with 18.6 per cent of students achieving grade A*-A, and 64.8 per cent of students achieving grade A*-C.

Its Chemistry department is also marking a year of phenomenal results, with 50 per cent of its cohort achieving grade A*-A.

Nottingham Emmanuel School added 74 per cent of its students will now be attending their first choice university. One very happy student, Jonathan Down, is off to the University of Oxford to study Computer Science, after he achieved 5 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Computer Science and EPQ.

Skegness Academy

Students and staff at Skegness Academy, are celebrating receiving their A Level grades today.

The Academy is pleased to announce a year of brilliant results for pupils. Their determination and hard work has meant many have achieved strong results and will now progress onto their chosen next steps in higher education, jobs or apprenticeships.

There have also been some impressive individual performances, which include:

• Alex Rogers, who achieved a Distinction* Distinction* in the BTEC Diploma in performing arts and a Distinction in the BTEC Extended Certificate in travel and tourism. Alex is now undertaking a degree in professional and commercial dance at the University of Greater Manchester.

• Alyssa Clarke, who successfully achieved a Distinction in the OCR Extended Certificate in health and social care and two a Bs in history and sociology. Alyssa is progressing into full-time employment.

• Jessica Shaw, who received a Distinction* in the BTEC Extended Certificate in applied law; a Distinction in the BTEC Extended Certificate in child's play, learning and development; and a C in sociology. Jessica is now undertaking a degree in primary education with QTS at Bishop Grosseteste University.

• Kazeem Rana, who earned a Distinction* in the BTEC Extended Certificate in applied law, a Distinction in the BTEC Extended Certificate in travel and tourism and a C in sociology. Kazeem is now undertaking a degree in law at City St George's, University of London.

• Yan Romao, who celebrates a Distinction in the BTEC Extended Certificate in applied law, a Distinction in BTEC Extended Certificate in information technology and a Distinction in BTEC Extended Certificate in travel and tourism. Yan is now undertaking a degree in computer science at Newcastle University.

Miss Langdale, Head of Sixth Form at Skegness Academy, said: “Today is all about celebrating our students and everything they have achieved. These results represent years of hard work, resilience and determination, and I couldn't be prouder of what they have accomplished. It has been a pleasure to support them throughout their Sixth Form journey and watch them grow in confidence and maturity. Whether they are heading to university, starting an apprenticeship or moving straight into employment, I know they have bright futures ahead of them. We wish every one of them the very best for their next chapter.”

Stanground Academy

The Academy is pleased to announce a year of remarkable achievements across A Level and vocational qualifications for students. Their determination and hard work has meant many have secured strong results and will now progress onto their chosen next steps in higher education, jobs or apprenticeships.

Among these successes, the following individuals deserve special recognition for their outstanding performance:

• Thomas Wei-Wood, who achieved an outstanding set of results with 3 A*s in biology, chemistry and mathematics and has secured his place to study medicine at the University of Liverpool.

• Rebecca Oludipe, whose hard work and dedication were rewarded with excellent grades of ABB in biology, chemistry and mathematics and has secured her place to study pharmacy at Cardiff University.

• Evie Marriott, who celebrated an impressive achievement of A, Distinction* and B in criminology, sport and psychology respectively. Evie has secured her place to study primary education at Leeds Beckett University.

• Andrew Morphew, Head Student, who achieved incredible results with a Distinction*, C ad Distinction* in music, politics and sport and has secured his place to study sports exercise and nutrition at Leeds Beckett University.

• Nazar Bilous, who celebrated two Distinction*s and an A* in business, IT and mathematics. Nazar has secured his place to study finance at University of Leeds.

Weston Favell Academy

This cohort has achieved a year of excellent results and students are excited as they look ahead to their next steps. There have also been some impressive individual performances, which include:

• Freya Lack, who earned A grades in psychology and biology, a B in sociology and an A* in EPQ, has secured her place to psychology at the University of Manchester.

• Mateusz Trzaskoma, who has received an A in maths and two Bs in physics and chemistry, securing his place to study manufacturing and mechanical engineering at the University of Warwick.

• Darragh O’Kane, who successfully achieved two distinctions in business and sport, as well as a merit in information technology. Darragh will now undertake an apprenticeship in asset management with OCM.

• Fionn Ritchie-Urquhart, who successfully achieved an A in maths, a B in physics and a Distinction* in IT. Fionn has secured their place to study mechanical engineering at the University of Sheffield.

• Kelvin Kurti, who celebrates an A in maths, a Distinction* in IT and a Distinction in business, and is progressing to study cyber security at Lancaster University.
