The Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) is a 'not for profit' organisation and was formed in 2009. We currently have 37 open academies educating approximately 18,000 pupils across seven local authority areas including Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Leicester City, Northamptonshire, Peterborough and Lincolnshire.

Our Members are the equivalent of shareholders (although of course they do not make any money out of our work). They play an important role in overseeing the work of our Trustees and our financial security.

Our Trustees are accountable for all aspects of our work, including the performance of every one of our academies.

Our Executive Leadership Team can be seen below. Click on each member of the team to view a short biography.

Sarah Meader

Chief People and Organisational Development Officer

I bring to GAT a wealth of HR and organisational development experience, gained within the public sector, private sector and not for profit organisations.

As a generalist at heart, I understand the added value an integrated people agenda brings, and committed to delivering  a great place to work for our people, whilst also operating at an Executive level advising leaders and trustees on our strategic path.

Utilising my skills as a trainer and coach, I am fortunate to help others realise their people management obligations as well as aspirations, as it’s the unleashing of people’s potential that makes this job truly amazing – enabling us all, whatever our role, to make a positive difference to the lives of our young people and the communities we serve.
