In conjunction with our accredited providers The Cambridge Partnership, Bishop Grosseteste University, Nottingham Trent University, and the University of Nottingham, the Trust is offering over 40 School Direct training places to start in September 2018. Based in one of the academies shown below, trainees will study for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Masters credits.
Since 2013 we have successfully trained more than 90 teachers through School Direct, with an impressive 100% employment rate upon completion of the course.

Do you want to teach a subject that isn’t directly related to your Degree?
Don’t worry! If you want to train to teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computing, Design Technology, English, Geography or Languages, Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses are available. These are fully funded and also come with a bursary. You need to apply for and be offered a School Direct place before starting a SKE course, so please keep this timeframe in mind.

In order to apply you must have:
- Recent UK mainstream classroom experience
- GCSE grade C or above in English and mathematics (and science for Primary trainees)
- Degree at 2:2 or above
- NARIC certification for overseas Degree/GCSE equivalence
- 3 years’ work experience for salaried places
