Casual Learning Assistant
We are seeking an inspirational and adaptable Learning Assistant to join us on a casual basis to support our children and young people who have learning difficulties and complex needs
£8.36 an hour
Closing date: 25 February 2018
You must be flexible in order to support during periods of absence and/or sickness.
The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside of the classroom environment. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.
Nethergate Academy is a special academy in the City of Nottingham for 112 pupils with moderate and complex learning difficulties. The age range is from 5-19 years with a range of ability extending from P6 – L6. Many pupils have autism and some have SEMH needs.
You will be:
- keen to learn with a positive outlook
- able to work on your own initiative
- experienced in working with children
- able to work as part of a team
- willing to undertake training
- enthusiastic and have the skills to challenge and motivate all our pupils.
Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs would be advantageous. You will be joining a passionate group of colleagues who strive to achieve the best outcomes for pupils in all aspects of their lives.
