Now that the seasons have changed from winter to spring our Academies have been embracing the idea of new beginnings ias they prepare for exam season. Many of our Academies have also been learning about the celebration of Easter.
Below are just a few examples of what has been going on in some of our Academies:
Skegby Junior Academy – Nottinghamshire
The mid-day supervisors prepared a special Easter themed table for the Golden Time pupils.
The Academy also had some volunteers plant lots of flowers and get the outdoor area ready for the new pond to arrive next term.
Bishop Creighton Academy – Peterborough
Pupils enjoyed some quality time with their chicks. Over the spring term, Year 6 pupils have been learning about what the chicks require to grow and be healthy.
Some pupils also created recipes for Easter cakes in their English lessons and read them aloud to their classmates.
Newark Hill Academy - Peterborough
Pupils have been getting into the Easter spirit by taking part in an Easter Bonnet competition. All of the bonnets were paraded in assembly and there were yummy Easter Eggs for the winners.
Kingswood Secondary Academy – Corby
Over the Easter break, teachers put on extra tuition sessions for Science, Textiles, Math and IT in preparation for the upcoming GCSE exams. Well done to all the students that took up these opportunities and thank you to the teachers who gave up their spare time to support the students.
