We are looking for an IT specialist with keen interest in developing people, IT processes and systems.

Based in the Northampton/Corby region the Service Delivery Manager will manage the customer facing services and will be involved in a variety of tasks that requires management of the technical site teams in these areas.  They will be required to manage workloads and prioritise work across the teams as well as develop the service delivery organisation within the Greenwood Academies Trust.

With 32 academies, many in areas of social and economic deprivation, the GAT is a powerful force for change. The IT department, part of the central team, is pivotal in ensuring that this mission is achieved through working with the academies to ensure cutting edge technology is utilised and first class support is given. 

Reporting to the IT Director you will be proactive to identify areas for continual improvement, you will ensure you are fully informed with regards to customers' needs and identify improvements that benefit the customer as well as being able to define and manage projects.  This is a really exciting role within our team and a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on relationship building, delivering first class service and managing and developing others.

You will need to be fully informed with regards to customers' needs and identify improvements that benefit the customer. You will also need:

  • to hold a qualification in ITIL V3 – Foundation
  • to have thorough knowledge of managing teams and personnel
  • to have high level knowledge of Information Systems, their operation and interoperability in an enterprise environment
  • to have a high level of oral and written communication skills
  • an ability to research subjects, with a commitment to provide continuous improvement
  • an ability to turn customer requirements into workable solution
  • an ability to work under pressure and think clearly in challenging situations in a logical manner
  • to be highly analytical in problem solving with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking.
